Important news and Meeting
We are running to keep ahead of the end of the year - and be ready for next year.
We have had good news - a grant, this time from the City of Greater Geelong, to help us with documenting and publicising our work. We have also been alerted to another opportunity, this time to get help employing someone to work on engagement with landholders. We will need your input and support for this application.
We want to meet with you for your endorsement of our work to date and to know how you will be able to support us next year. We are not asking for funding so much as knowing how you and your colleagues can help you and us simultaneously to work towards our shared goals.
Our next meeting will be short and sharp
December 14 at 10.30 am online.
You have been invited to attend this meeting but please RSVP. If you cannot come but think your colleague might, that is fine by us so long as we get the RSVP!! RSVP to We will send a Zoom link closer to the time.
We have worked for many hours to organise the ideas, comments, etc from our meetings and a number of special 'rabbit' events. To date we have produced one paper focused on the infrastructure that will be essential to our success and the other, of more interest perhaps, about how to work with landholders.
Both papers are available and we need your input or endorsement to make them useful:
paper 1 - https://testing.bellarinemac.org.au/index.php/white-paper
paper 2 - https://testing.bellarinemac.org.au/index.php/y
We really need everyone to read and comment on the papers either by sending us an email or by attending the meeting on Dec 14th.
To continue developing the strategic plan, we are asking you to help us make the white papers lots better and telling us how you can help with the work - this is a strategic plan we are developing and it will probably take 10 years to fully implement it.
Our idea is to develop the strategic plan and then review it each year, based (we hope) on lots of evidence of what is being done and what is working.
The white paper is available for reading at https://testing.bellarinemac.org.au/index.php/white-paper and if you can read and comment, a Word version is attached for you to make comments (please track changes).
If you have news, ideas, queries, or otherwise, please feel free to share them.
We are keen to hear from you at /
